Blueair air purifiers are my favorite top pick ...better than HEPA air filtration, moves the most air while being the quietest on the market, best design, very easy to use. Airfree Air Sterilizers
Airfree air sterilizers are filterless, specialized little indoor air purifiers that literally incinerate mold, bacteria, virus, pollen, and any other living thing in the air. These would be great wherever moisture tends to grow these problems, such as basements, laundry rooms. Have also heard anecdotal reports of placing several of them around the indoor to rid dog odor. No one else has as much carbon in their filters for removing these types of pollutants. Check out the Allerair VOCARB for gas removal and the Allerair 5000 DS EXEC for a great smoke air purifier. Aprilaire specializes in whole house solutions and does have a respectable whole house air purifier. Remember, no whole house air purifier can clean to the level of regular room or house air purifier.
'JUST OKAY' to 'NOT SO GOOD' AIR PURIFIERS
Alenair Air Purifiers
The Alen air a350 air purifier model is perhaps the most well known. A standard HEPA with ionizer and carbon filters. Not really that great.
Honeywell Air Purifiers
Honeywell air purifiers are a decent, standard, HEPA air purifier. Downside: can be quite noisy. There are better choices.
Holmes Air Purifiers
Holmes air purifiers are another modest player in the HEPA market. Makes some tower air purifiers. Not that it's a good thing. You could do better.
Kenmore Air Purifiers
Standard HEPA or ionic air purifier. You could do much much better than Kenmore air purifiers.
Space Guard Air Cleaners
Now owned by Aprilaire.
Whirlpool Air Purifiers
Known for the whirlpool whispure air purifiers. A standard air purifier that's very quiet. Currently not available.
