Why Is The Blueair Air Purifier The Best Choice For Your Home?

The Blueair air purifier delivers more clean air, at a faster rate, with less noise than any other air purifier on the market. Oh, and it does it with style, too. As such, I have selected it as my pound-for-pound champ, and it rockets to the top as my pick for best air purifier.

Is it the absolute best at filtration? No. That honor goes to the IQAir air purifier line.

Here's why I still picked the Blueair air purifier line as the best all around:

The Blueair air cleaner has patented technology delivers better-than-HEPA results.

Here's the way it works...

blueair air purifierAs The Blueair's air purifier draw in air using an ultra-quiet fan, airborne particles enter an electrostatic chamber (with no ozone) where they pick up an electrical charge. This charge allows the three stage filters to trap the particles more efficiently.

Most HEPA filters have the same density throughout, which causes the filters to get clogged more easily and make more noise.

The three stage progressive filters have millions of fibers in three different sizes. Stage one traps larger particles like pollen and dust, and the second and third stages capture smaller particles like cigarette smoke and exhaust.

Since the Blueair air purifier filters don't have to be as dense,

  1. they move a greater volume of air
  2. at a faster rate
  3. with high performance and greater efficiency
  4. with less noise than anyone else on the market.

In fact, while normal HEPA filters remove blueair how it works99.7% of all particles .3 microns and larger...

Blueair cleans the air by removing 99.7% of all particles .1 micron and larger, with the highest clean air delivery rate in it's class.

That's three times better than any true HEPA air purifier...

This is why I put one in my son's bedroom, and if I had to buy another air purifier, it would be the Blueair.

If I were to ask you, "What do you want your air purifier to do for you?" you would likely say that you would want it to...

"Deliver the largest amount of clean air as quickly and quietly as possible at a high level of performance. "

The Blueair line does exactly that, delivering high quality clean air and lots of it.

But my reasons for making the Blueair air purifier number one don't end there:

The Blueair 501 air purifier is so attractive that has a permanent place in the National Museum in Stockholm, Sweden and has won several design awards.

While aesthetic design doesn't clean the air better, frankly, I hate the drab look of off white or grey plastic. I love this unit's sleek and simple lines, small footprint, and elegant appearance.

The sleek galvanized steel exterior of the Blueair air purifier means it not only looks good, but superior, iron-clad quality is the order of the day. Blueair offers an 10 year warranty.

No one else does this
in the air purifier industry.

By the way, I've heard their customer service and support is second to none...not that I've ever had to use it ...going on 6 years now ours has worked perfectly...

Note: Some individuals with chemical sensitive may want to avoid a plastic body, so the Blueair's steel body would be a great choice.

blueair air cleaner control panelThe Blueair 501 air purifier has four speeds and the 601 has three. Level one runs on a scant 35 watts (less than a light bulb!) and you have to strain to hear any sound at all. This silver bullet is quiet as well as effective.

If you prefer a little noise, you can crank the Blueair air purifier all the way up for some white noise that drowns out traffic, etc. (Our son Elijah likes it this way) This level runs at only 125 watts, which is still extremely efficient.

What else?

Well, the polypropylene filters are better for the environment, and easy to change.

If you do choose the Blueair air purifiers, I recommend buying the Blueair air cleaner that has the upgraded smokestop filters. Basically, these filters have quite a bit more carbon charcoal that absorbs gas fumes better. With off gassing from carpet, upholstery, paints, and particle board, this is a necessity rather than an option in today's homes.

Are there any downsides?

Hardly any. But if you want to get picky...

Blueair wants you to change the filters in your air cleaner every six months. There's no indicator of when to do this.

But I've found that if you remove and vacuum your filters occasionally you'll get much more than 6 months out of a set of filters.

This is an important tip for all air purifiers!

Periodically vacuum your filters once a month or ideally every two weeks.
They will last longer and do a better job with less strain on the machine!

Also, There's no pre-filter, such as on the IQAir air purifier. But the Blueair filters are their own pre-filter, so this doesn't seem like a big deal to me, and in fact, I like the simplicity of one set of filters.

In summary:

  • Moves the most air at a faster rate with high performance... quieter than any other air purifier ...
  • Super sleek and attractive design is easy on the eyes, and incidentally a conversation piece you can be proud of.
  • Environmentally friendly: You'll feel good about doing your part for the environment.
  • Unparalleled 10 year warranty: you'll have peace of mind that this big purchase is backed with an iron-clad guarantee.
